Chemba Puttu

Ingredients

  • Water – As required
  • Salt – To taste
  • Grated Coconut – 2 Cup
  • Double Horse Chemba Puttu Podi – 500g
Wet Double Horse Chemba Puttu Podi with required quantity of water and salt, Mix for 5 minutes to obtain desired consistency. (if softer puttu is desired, keep it aside for 30 minutes). Transfer the mix in to puttu maker with coconut gratings alternately. Place the maker on a pressure cooker / steaming vessel and steam for 3 to 5 minutes. Push out the cakes from the maker to a plate and serve with plantain or curry or chutney or with sugar.
