Method of Preparation:
- Aval Unda: Grind Aval to powder, take one cup (200g)Â of aval powder, add 1/2 cup (100g) of Double Horse jaggery powder and 1 cup (200g) of coconut scrapings in a vessel and mix thoroughly until soft. Make small balls out of the mixture and garnish with raisins or cashew nuts.
- Aval Vilayichathu: Take one cup(200g) of Double Horse Jaggery and 1 cup (200ml) of water.       Boil to make jaggery syrup with one thread consistency. Take a Kadai, add ghee and roast chana dal and cashew nut. To this, add the strained Jaggery syrup and add one cup(200g) of Aval, 1/2 cup (100g)  of coconut scrapings, cardamom powder and mix thoroughly. Serve once it cools down.
- Aval Muesli:Â Nourish the Aval with fruit pieces (apple, banana, cherry, etc.) cashew nut, raisins. Add boiled milk and sugar and Serve Hot
