Masala Macaroni


  • DH Macaroni – 2 cups
  • DH Soya Chunks – ½ cup
  • DH Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
  • DH Pepper Powder – 1½ tsp
  • DH Garam Masala – 1 tsp
  • DH Coriander Powder – 1½ tsp
  • Onions – 2 (chopped)
  • Garlic – 10 cloves (chopped)
  • Tomato – 1 (chopped)
  • Carrot – 1 (chopped)
  • Coriander leaves – 1 spring (chopped)
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Oil – 3 tsp (for cooking the macaroni)
Boil plenty of water with salt and 2-3 teaspoons of oil. Cook macaroni and drain the excess water (make sure the macaroni doesn’t overcook). Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic, onion and tomato. Sauté till the onion slices turn transparent. Add the cooked soya chunks (Boil water with salt in a pan. Add soya chunks and boil for a few minutes. Drain and squeeze out the water), carrot, green peas and coriander leaves, and sauté well. Add turmeric, pepper, garam masala and coriander powder. Pour ½ cup of water and cook till the vegetables are soft (the masala should neither be dry nor watery). Add the macaroni and mix gently. Serve hot. You can also add chicken or meat to the masala mix.
