Stuffed Puliyappam


  • DH Instant Dosa/Idli Mix
  • DH Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Onion – 1 (chopped)
  • Curry leaves – 1 sprig (chopped)
  • Coriander leaves – 2 sprigs (chopped)
  • Ginger – 1 small piece (chopped)
  • Salt – to taste
For the filling
  • Fresh grated coconut – 1 cup
  • DH Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
  • DH Tamarind Paste – ¼ tsp
  • Ginger – 1 small piece
  • Salt – to taste
Prepare idli mix as per the instructions on the packet. Add salt, onion, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves and asafoetida to the batter. Mix well. Heat an unniyappam chatti. Pour oil into the moulds. Pour a spoon of batter and place 1 teaspoon of chutney filling. Pour one more spoon of batter and cook till the puliyappams turn crispy gold brown.
